French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will try to convince China to turn against Russia. However, they are using ineffective methods, including financial pressure on Beijing. This is reported by Le Figaro.

The publication notes that Emmanuel Macron plans to spend a day of intensive negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Ursula von der Leyen is expected to participate in discussions with the Chinese leader.

Recall that today the French president arrived in Beijing on a three-day state visit. With him came 60 great entrepreneurs and Ursula von Der Leyen.

Recall that at the end of March this year, the state visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to Moscow took place. The head of the PRC held a series of meetings and talks with President Vladimir Putin and members of the government of the Russian Federation.

The parties agreed to strengthen their cooperation and jointly build a world order based on respect for international law. They also agreed on a plan for developing cooperation until 2030. This applies to trade, energy and other important areas.
