Mr. Jassim Shaheen Al-Sulaiti, Chairman of the Bow and Arrow Committee and Executive Director of the Qatar Shooting and Bow and Arrow Federation, won the membership of the Executive Office of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation. This came during the meeting of the constituent general assembly of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation, which was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the presence of 10 out of 11 countries. This position represents the culmination of the confidence of the continental and international federations in the competence and experience of the Qatari cadres in the Shooting Federation. The meeting witnessed voting on the positions of president and vice president and the appointment of the secretary of the federation, where Mr. Mishaal Al-Hokair, President of the Saudi Arrows Federation, was elected president of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation, and Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, President of the UAE Federation of Bow and Arrow, was elected Vice-President of the Federation, and Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sadoukhi was appointed Executive Director The Saudi Arrows Federation, Secretary General of the West Asian Federation. The logo of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation was discussed and the date of the first championship for the federation, which will be held in Riyadh, was agreed upon. Committees were set up to form the federation’s statute. In a statement today, Mr. Jassim Shaheen Al-Sulaiti expressed his happiness at winning the membership of the Executive Office of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation, adding "The selection of Qatari cadres for these important positions reflects the extent of success achieved by Qatari shooting through its achievements and aspiration towards the world". Al-Sulaiti thanked His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, for his great support for the sport of shooting and interest in sports and athletes, which contributed to enabling its cadres to play their role in achieving development and upgrading the administrative aspects, in order to achieve various achievements in various fields.
