He said it was thanks to people like Dostoyevsky that Russian culture would always interest Western Europeans. “Thanks to its breadth, depth, achievements and timeless value, Russian culture can never be dismissed,” said the Serb.

Kusturica took part in the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the House of Russia, which is the main cultural center of Russia in Serbia. The celebrations were attended by many prominent officials and statesmen, including Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Bocan-Kharchenko and Serbian Health Minister Danica Grujichich.
