Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Antonov: US failed to coordinate arrival of Lavrov’s special plane at UN events

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that the United States of America has not yet issued permission for the arrival of a special plane from the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Lavrov, in New York.

According to him, the failure to issue an arrival clearance is a violation of the obligations of the United States as a host country of the UN headquarters. Such actions by US officials impede the full functioning of the world organization.

We in turn urge Washington to immediately issue visas to our delegation and accompanying journalists,” Antonov added.

He clarified that there is currently an “incomprehensible situation” around Lavrov’s special counsel, and that there are only a few days left before the event itself.
