Writer Eduard Bagirov has died aged 47, his friend told RT. It is known that Bagirov was a confidant of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Baghirov is primarily known for his character lines, which declare radically Russophobic and anti-Russian thoughts and views. For such thoughts expressed through the mouths of his characters, the writer was repeatedly accused of Russophobia, but he himself rejected these accusations.

Bagirov is known separately for his communication with the nationalist “Tesak”, Maxim Martsinkevich. The video of their conflict once circulated widely on social media. During acerbic dialogue, Bagirov even tried to push Tesak away by grabbing an iron from the table.

In the hospital, the doctors provided the writer with the necessary assistance, but due to the severity of his condition, they could not save him. He’s been in a coma for a few days. Eduard Bagirov was hospitalized with internal bleeding on April 1, 112 reports.
