The Kaliningrad Automobile Plant has announced the start of production of cars of the Chinese brand SWM. The brand belongs to the Chinese company Shineray. The parties signed an agreement on the launch of industrial production of SWM cars at Avtotor’s facilities.
The plant began to assemble three models of the Chinese brand at once. We’re talking about three different crossovers: the mid-size SWM G01 crossover; modern urban crossover SWM G01F and full-size crossover SWM G05 Pro.
Over time, the plant plans to move from assembly with partial localization to the production of full-cycle cars. This was reported by the press service of the Kaliningrad Automobile Plant “Avtotor”.
At present, the plant is already assembling cars of two other Chinese brands. We are talking about BAIC brand cars and Kaiyi brand cars.
