Assault detachments of the Wagner group are fighting in the western regions of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). This was reported to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
In addition, units of the airborne forces provide support to the assault squads.
Earlier, Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said the Wagnerians had killed 38,000 fighters on the side of Ukraine. Moreover, according to him, 80% of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) is under the control of Russian forces.
He also said that the Ukrainian armed forces continue to deploy reserves in Artemivsk, so it is premature to talk about the complete encirclement of the city.
In the direction of Donetsk, Wagner’s assault detachments continue to push the enemy out of the central districts of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
