April 14, 2023

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change thanked the Qatari Al-Gannas Association for the Qatar Falcons campaign to launch Falcons 2023 in its sixth edition, which contributes to preserving these types of birds from extinction. The Ministry of Environment published a tweet attached to a video of the Qatari Al-Qannas Association team to Azerbaijan, headed by Mr. Ali bin Khatim Al-Mahshadi, President of the Association, and Mr. Muhammad bin Abdul Latif Al-Misnad, Vice-President. The ministry said in the text of the tweet that the campaign, which has reached its last stop in the State of Azerbaijan, contributes to restoring environmental balance and achieving sustainability. The Qatari Al-Qannas Association had announced during the Marmi International Hunting and Falcon Festival in its latest edition its readiness to launch its sixth campaign to release falcons in nature, appreciating the efforts of the participants. It is noteworthy that the campaign to release falcons in nature is one of the ancient Qatari customs and traditions, as the Qatari falconers, at the end of the hunting season, released falcons in nature, as this was inherited through generations.
