S. Jaishankar traveled in an Indian made train in Mozambique

Maputo: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar traveled in a ‘Made in India’ (Made in India) train during his visit to Mozambique and held extensive talks with the Transport Minister on the issue of expanding the scope of rail network, electric vehicles and waterways connectivity in the country. . Jaishankar reached Mozambique’s capital Maputo on Thursday on a three-day visit and met the speaker of the African country’s parliament to strengthen bilateral ties. Jaishankar is the first External Affairs Minister of India to pay an official visit to Mozambique.

“Great conversation on green transportation with Matias Magala, Mozambican Minister of Transport and Communications and Chairman of the Mozambican Port and Rail Authority,” he tweeted on Thursday. Discussed the issue of increasing the scope of rail network, electric vehicles and waterway connectivity. India is a reliable partner in this regard. The External Affairs Minister also informed about traveling in a train made in India in Mozambique.

He tweeted that he traveled from Maputo to Machava in a ‘Made in India’ train with Mozambican Transport Minister Matias Magala. I appreciate Rahul Mittal, Chairman, RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Services) for being a part of this journey. Apart from interacting with the people of the Indian community in Maputo, Jaishankar also offered prayers at a temple.

He tweeted that he offered prayers at Shri Vishwambhar Mahadev Temple in Maputo on Thursday evening. Feeling very happy to interact with the people of the Indian community here. Prior to Mozambique, Jaishankar visited Uganda, where he held talks with the country’s top leadership, including President Yoweri Museveni, on possible cooperation in trade, infrastructure, energy and defense sectors.
