Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has dropped out of the presidential race. The politician announced his decision on Fox News.
” I made a decision. We have come to the conclusion that we will not enter the race in 2024,” Pompeo said as quoted by RIA Novosti.
The politician noted that he is very concerned about the problems of American society, which he has been talking about for “decades”, but his time to compete for the seat of owner of the White House has not yet come.
“Now is not our time,” Pompeo said.
Recall that experts have called Pompeo a likely competitor to Trump for the Republican presidential nomination.
Pompeo’s visit to Kiev and his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have already been reported.
