The heating season is coming to an end in Moscow. The capital’s heating systems will be turned off in stages, Moscow Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said.

Currently, routine maintenance is carried out on the networks and heat points, 24 pumping stations, as well as on the district and quarterly thermal stations. The heating will be off for five days, then preparations for the next heating season will begin.

“Currently, routine maintenance is carried out on heating networks and points, 24 pumping stations, district and quarterly spas. According to federal law, the decision to end the heating season is made when the average temperature daily air remains above eight degrees for five days,” Petr Biryukov told reporters.
