The Department of Health Specialties at the Ministry of Public Health announced that it has completed the second part (written) exam for the Qatari Medical Specialties Certificate (Qatari Board). The Ministry of Public Health considered this step a major achievement for the medical sector in the State of Qatar, as this exam is the first written final exam to be held since the launch of the Qatari Medical Specialties Certificate three years ago. Eleven residents of the Family Medicine Specialist Program, which is considered the first specialized medical program to hold such an exam, sat for the exam. All applicants passed the exam successfully, enabling them to apply for the Part II Clinical Examination that qualifies for obtaining the Qatari Medical Specialties Certificate in Family Medicine. . Dr. Saad Al-Kaabi, Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Qatari Medical Specialties Certificate, said in today’s statements: The second part exam plays an important role in testing the information and skills required of doctors in each specialty, pointing out that doctors who obtained the Qatari board certificate have obtained efficient and exceptional medical education. It was also confirmed that they have the skills and knowledge that enable them to provide high-quality health care to citizens and residents of the State of Qatar. For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of the Examination Committee for the Qatari Medical Specialties Certificate, stated that the examination and the policies, standards and regulations related to it were prepared through local experiences in the State of Qatar, and by following the latest scientific methods, as the doctors examined were selected from the main medical institutions in the State of Qatar. They were trained and qualified through intensive courses and workshops to ensure high efficiency in writing exam questions. It is worth noting that this project was launched in July 2020 under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Health with the aim of granting doctors postgraduate certificates in various medical specialties after undergoing training within training programs approved by the Qatari Board (17 approved programs so far), as well as passing a number of special exams. , including written and clinical, to ensure the highest levels of competence, knowledge and knowledge of doctors in their various specialties, which will have a positive role in gaining the trust of the community, and providing high-quality medical care.
