Balitsky said that Russia is ready to repel the offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Zaporizhzhia region

Acting governor of Zaporizhzhia region Yevgeny Balitsky said that the RF Armed Forces are fully ready to repel a possible counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction. He announced it on the airwaves of the Russia 24 television channel.

According to Balitsky, the situation in the Zaporizhzhia region is under the control of the Russian forces, and the RF armed forces are ready for any action by the Ukrainian armed forces. The governor of the Zaporizhzhia region noted that “good” fortifications of the RF Armed Forces were created on the line of contact.

Earlier, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said Ukrainian units launched a four-way counteroffensive.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, during his speech at a press conference in Washington, said that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces would begin “in the near future”.
