The Kremlin said that NATO’s readiness to accept Ukraine confirms the need for a special operation

Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that NATO is showing aggression and also pursuing the line of absorption and integration of Ukraine into the North Atlantic Alliance. He also stressed that NATO’s actions only confirm the correctness of the decision to launch a special military operation.

“This once again demonstrates to anyone who is inclined to think at least a little with their heads, the correctness of the president’s decision to launch this operation. Based on the interests of the Russian Federation and the need to ensure its security,” Peskov told reporters.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, Russia is dealing with an aggressive bloc that views the country as an adversary and encroaches on its security.

The day before, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that all the countries of the alliance agreed to Ukraine becoming a member.
