“Yes, it is (the opening of the case) indeed. I will meet my lawyer, fly to Novosibirsk,” he said, noting that the persecution is “absolutely undeserved.”
A TASS law enforcement source told TASS that the case was opened under Art. 319 of the Criminal Code (contempt of a representative of the authorities), it is being processed by the department of the Investigative Committee for the investigation of particularly important cases. The maximum penalty that threatens Kortnev is up to one year of corrective work.
The “Accident” concert was supposed to take place on February 14, 2023 at the “Stray Dog” club in Novosibirsk. At the last moment, the show was moved to another venue, of which only those who had purchased tickets were notified.
At the second site, before the start of the concert, the electricity was cut off due to suspected smoke in the nearby Russian Post building, and then police and firefighters arrived on the scene. As a result, the performance was canceled and the ticket money was returned to the audience.

The musician himself, in an interview with TASS on February 16, said that the incident with the police had been settled and no protocol had been drawn up against him. In a conversation with Moskovsky Komsomolets Kortnev said that he showed “no gesture” to the police.
Kortnev condemned the hostilities in Ukraine, after which Moscow, Irkutsk and other cities canceled or tried to disrupt the “Accident” concerts. In March 2023, the group’s concert, which was to be held at the Votkinsk museum in April, was canceled in Udmurtia. 7×7 edition said that the director of the museum has been summoned by the “competent authorities” and forbidden to let him enter the site, since he is a “foreign agent”. In the register of “foreign agents” Kortnev does not appear.
