Mexico City. Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador says he has been infected with the coronavirus for the third time and will cancel in-person meetings for the next several days.
López Obrador said on Twitter Sunday night, “You won’t believe this friend: I have tested positive for COVID-19.” it is not serious. … I had to postpone my tour, I’m in Mexico City … I’ll be isolating myself for a few days. Earlier the Mexican leader’s administration announced that the president’s visit to the state of Yucatan was being suspended. López Obrador first contracted COVID-19 in January 2021 and was reportedly treated for two weeks. This followed a year later for the second time a Mexican president was diagnosed with the coronavirus, but only canceled his public appearances for four days.
