Mexico City. Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador says he has been infected with the coronavirus for the third time and will cancel in-person meetings for the next several days.

LĂłpez Obrador said on Twitter Sunday night, “You won’t believe this friend: I have tested positive for COVID-19.” it is not serious. … I had to postpone my tour, I’m in Mexico City … I’ll be isolating myself for a few days. Aden Augusto LĂłpez Hernández (Secretary of the Interior) will lead the morning session. see you soon,.

Earlier the Mexican leader’s administration announced that the president’s visit to the state of Yucatan was being suspended. LĂłpez Obrador first contracted COVID-19 in January 2021 and was reportedly treated for two weeks. This followed a year later for the second time a Mexican president was diagnosed with the coronavirus, but only canceled his public appearances for four days.
