“He’s mega active.” Peskov called claims about twins and Putin’s bunker a lie

Press secretary to the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, has called a lie reports about Vladimir Putin lookalikes and the fact that he is “sitting in a bunker”. The Kremlin spokesman said this during the marathon of knowledge, a fragment of his speech publish telegram channel of radio “Mayak”.

“You have probably heard that Putin has many doubles working for him, and he himself is sitting in a bunker. Another lie. You see what kind of president we have. Him, as he was and is – mega-active. With difficulty we follow him, those who work nearby,” Peskov said.

He noted that such health as Putin’s, “you can only wish for yourself.” Peskov noted that the Russian government’s analytical coordination center is called the bunker – “a phenomenal high-tech space where the government sees everything happening in our country in real time.”

This is not the first time that Peskov has denied the existence of Putin’s twins. The president himself knows about the twin theory and “laughs about it”, a Kremlin spokesman said in an interview with Russian media.

In April, talk of Putin lookalikes resumed during the president’s Easter trip to the Kherson region and the LPR. The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, said that instead of the Russian president, his “usual double” had visited these regions. Peskov called the statement “very strange.”

In December 2020, reports appeared in the media that the president has two identical offices in the Novo-Ogaryovo and Sochi residences near Moscow. Publications said that during the coronavirus pandemic, Putin had not been in Moscow for several months, but the Kremlin would not release this information, because “people should think that the president is in or near the capital”. Peskov called the posts “absolute nonsense” and “literary exercises.”
