Battles continue between the army and the Rapid Support Forces. Since April 15, the clashes between the army led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo have killed more than 420 people and injured 3,700, and prompted tens of thousands to flee from the areas of clashes towards other states, or towards Chad and Egypt.
The sound of gunfire, the sound of explosions, and the flight of warplanes continued in Khartoum, and the acceleration of the evacuation of foreign citizens was accompanied by the growing fears for the fate of the Sudanese once these operations ended.
On the other hand, the evacuations of foreign nationals and diplomats from Sudan continued, by many countries such as the United States, France, Britain and Germany.
France evacuated about 400 French citizens and other nationalities from Sudan, after operating several flights between Khartoum and Djibouti.
And the ministry stated in a statement that “these flights allowed the evacuation of 388 people, including French citizens who expressed their desire to do so, in addition to a large number of nationals of other countries.
The evacuees held the nationalities of Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, Burundi, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Morocco, Namibia, Niger, Uganda and Rwanda, as well as Sudan, the United States, Canada, India, Japan and the Philippines.
And the German army announced that a plane belonging to it headed to Jordan “carrying 101 evacuees,” adding that a total of three A-400-M planes arrived in Sudan for the purpose of evacuation, while Spain evacuated about 100 people on board a military plane.
And the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported, on Sunday evening, that “436 citizens have been evacuated from Sudan through land evacuation.
