London. Andrew Strauss will step down as strategy advisor to the England and Wales Cricket Board and chairman of the Cricket Performance Committee.
The former England captain has previously served as the director of the England men’s cricket team between 2015 and 2018. He became the ECB’s strategy advisor and chairman of the committee in 2020. Strauss said in a statement on Friday, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure with the ECB.
I am glad that England could contribute to the success of the teams. Due to commitments outside the Institute, I have decided to resign from the post. He will officially resign at the annual general meeting of the board in May.
Strauss was given England’s 4. 0 was asked to review the defeat. They made 17 suggestions in their report, including cutting the number of matches in the County Championship. This did not go down well with the supporters of county cricket.
