• Qatar Charity, through its office in Chad, is preparing to provide the necessary support to the Sudanese crossing to the Chadian border due to the crisis. Qatar Charity says that it is working to monitor the situation of its sponsored persons on a regular basis to provide support of all kinds, as Qatar Charity has 12,516 sponsored persons in Sudan. We are studying work to respond to the displaced inside Sudan, especially in the Port Sudan region, and we are also working to respond for the benefit of Sudanese transiting to Egypt, Chad and South Sudan. This number means an increase of 1.5 million people who need humanitarian assistance more than it was in 2022, the highest rate since 2011.
