The fighting against Moscow for Kiev cannot end with the same result that World War II brought to Finland. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his conversation with the Finnish edition of Yle and a number of other Scandinavian media in the Ukrainian capital.
Zelenskyy noted that Finland not only ceded territory to Russia, but also suffered heavy losses. He believes that the Russian Federation should not be offered such an opportunity. Zelenskyy also called it “insulting and unfair” that other states did not help Helsinki in its efforts to “push back Russia” in 1939–40.
During the interview, Zelenskyy thanked the Nordic countries for their support for Ukraine. According to him, unlike some other Kiev partners, they did not break their promises.
In addition, Zelenskyy again announced the campaign of the Ukrainian Armed Forces against the Crimean Peninsula. He assured that Kiev would be able to repel the onslaught of Russian forces and return Crimea to its control.

Zelenskyy said, adding that the war could last for years or even decades.
At the same time, Zelenskyy did not even reveal the approximate timing of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. But, as the media recalled, it is believed to start in late spring or early summer this year.
According to Zelenskyy, the success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces largely depends on the West continuing to supply arms and ammunition. He stressed that the number of weapons is of great importance. Moreover, the Russian military would lose motivation with every day spent in the NVO area.
