New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted the citizens of Maharashtra and Gujarat on their foundation day and wished them prosperity and progress.
It may be known that in the year 1960, on May 1, Maharashtra and Gujarat came into existence as separate states. Prior to this, both the states were part of Bombay Province. The Prime Minister tweeted, “Happy Maharashtra Day. The state has a great culture and its people are hardworking.
He has enriched the national progress in various fields. I pray for the continued progress of Maharashtra in the years to come. He also greeted the people in Marathi language. In another tweet, Modi said, “Greetings on Gujarat Foundation Day.
Gujarat has carved an identity for its all-round progress as well as its unique culture. I pray that the state continues to scale new heights of development in the times to come. The Prime Minister also greeted the citizens of his home state in Gujarati.
