From May 1, pensions will be indexed for Russians who have reached the age of 80. In addition, an increase in pensions is expected for a number of other categories of retirees, said the professor from the PRUE Department of State and Municipal Finance. GV Plekhanova Yulia Finogenova, PRIME reports.
The agency notes that the amount of the fixed payment of the old-age insurance pension for Russians who reach the age of 80 by May 1 will double and amount to 15,134 rubles per month.
Finogenova added that the pension supplement will also increase for civil aviation crews and workers in the coal industry. For them, the amount of additional payment will be individual in each case, since it depends on the average monthly salary and length of service. For these categories of retirees, the amounts of the payments are reviewed four times a year, explained the professor.
According to her, one-time payments in the amount of 10,000 rubles will be received by veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the 78th anniversary of Victory. In addition, certain categories of veterans who live in Moscow will receive one-time financial assistance. The capital provides for payments of 10,000, 15,000 and 25,000 rubles.
Earlier, a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, a professor at the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University, Vadim Vinogradov, spoke about the impact of the move on the amount of pension. According to him, the inhabitants of the regions of the Far North and regions which are equivalent to them can count on a supplementary pension, which is 50 and 30%. However, if the move takes place before the required length of service has been accumulated, the citizen loses the right to a lifetime guaranteed increase in the fixed pension payment.
