Railway transport busy in China on Labor Day holiday

Railway transport in China remained busy on the fourth day of the International Labor Day holiday. Railways have taken steps to ensure transportation. Seven major railway hubs exist in Beijing, the capital of China, with the West Railway Station having the most diverse of lines. Along with the normal speed train, the facility of high-speed rail, suburban rail and intercity rail is also available here.

During the International Labor Day holiday, Beijing West Railway Station receives more passengers for sightseeing and visiting relatives. Their destinations include tourist cities such as Xi’an, Changtu, Wuhan and Changsha, and cities around Beijing such as Baoding, Xichuang and Hantan. During the Labor Day holiday, the daily ridership of Beijing West Railway Station exceeded 160,000. It is estimated that on May 2, 11,548 passenger trains will transport 16.45 million passengers across China.
