Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Chin Kang attended the meeting of SCO foreign ministers

Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Kang attended a meeting of foreign ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in Goa, India on May 5 local time. During this, Chin Kang said that at present there are many crises and challenges before the world. Cold war, unilateralism, hegemony, power politics etc. are on the rise. The SCO, as an important construction force in international and regional affairs, should develop the Shanghai spirit and build an ever closer SCO community with a shared future.

On this occasion, Qin Cong offered five suggestions: First, adhere to strategic independence and strengthen solidarity and mutual trust. Second, deepen security-related cooperation and safeguard regional peace. Third, encourage openness and inclusiveness, and promote joint development. Fourth, uphold fairness and justice and improve global governance. Fifth, focus on long-term development and strengthen mechanism construction. Xi Jinping stressed that China is willing to expand cooperation with SCO member states and strive to build a community with a shared future for mankind, hand in hand along the path of national development.
