A storm warning has been issued for Moscow, Moscow region and nine other regions of the Russian Federation, as frosts are expected in the regions from May 5 to 9. This was stated by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.
“Frosts are expected from minus 1 to minus 6 degrees overnight and in the morning,” TASS reports.
The forecaster clarified that a sharp drop in temperature is expected in the Tver, Smolensk, Kaluga, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Tula, Ryazan, Vladimir and Ivanovo regions.
Earlier, a powerful magnetic storm brought the aurora borealis to several regions of the Russian Federation at once. Incredible flashes of various shades – white, green, crimson, purple – were clearly visible not only outside the city, but also in the line. Scientists explain the occurrence of a natural phenomenon with the activity of the sun.
