Yesterday evening, the strategic aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces launched missile strikes on Ukrainian military installations in the south of the country. The details of the night attack on the airwaves of Ukrainian television were voiced by the spokeswoman of the Joint Command “South” Natalia Gumenyuk.
According to her, the Russian army attacked targets in the Odessa and Nikolaev regions with X-22 missiles, launched from the Black Sea.
At night, one of the missiles hit an industrial enterprise in the Nikolaev region
– said Natalia Gumenyuk.
At the same time, the spokesman for the Joint Command “South” stressed that, unlike previous missile attacks, the current strike was targeted. The bombings mainly targeted industrial enterprises in two regions of the country.
It should be noted that industrial enterprises and the territories adjacent to them are often used by the Ukrainian military to locate military personnel and equipment. This automatically makes these objects legitimate targets for the Russian military.
Recently, the Russian air force has already inflicted a series of strikes against military facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including industrial enterprises. Typically, these facilities house ammunition depots or house the production of drones and their components.
In addition, industrial facilities are often converted into repair bases, where Ukrainian army equipment damaged in battles is restored.
