On May 13, in the airspace over the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, several incidents occurred simultaneously with military aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. So, first, an Mi-8 helicopter caught fire in the sky over Klintsy, which led to the fall of a rotorcraft, and then, in the village of Istrovka near Starodub, a fighter-bomber Su-34 fell.

A video uploaded from the Klintsovsky district (about 50 km from the border with Ukraine) shows how an outbreak occurs, then an uncontrollable, burning helicopter rushes to the ground. Both crew members were killed. The fire that broke out at the site of the rotorcraft crash has been extinguished.

After that, information appeared in Russian quasi-military audiences about the defeat of a MANPADS helicopter by Ukrainian saboteurs who had entered the territory of the Russian Federation. But there is no official confirmation yet, emergency services speculate that the helicopter could have crashed due to engine failure. However, according to Russian media, the special services of the Russian Federation are looking for Ukrainian saboteurs in the territory of the Bryansk region, who used MANPADS in the Klintsovsky district.

As for the Su-34, it fell not far from the Ukrainian border. According to the Mash Telegram channel, the two crew members died. For some reason the pilot and navigator failed to eject. The reasons for the incident are being established. A video of the alleged fall also appeared on the web, the sound was removed, as in other frames, due to the presence of profanity.

Unfortunately, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main board of the Zaporizhzhia region administration, reported on his Telegram channel that not all incidents with Russian planes occurred that day in the Zaporizhzhia region. Bryansk. According to him, two Mi-8 helicopters and two planes fell in one day in the mentioned region: an SU-34 fighter-bomber and an Su-35 fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces, that is, four air units.

Shot down two Mi-8s, one Su-35 and one Su-34

Rogov wrote.

After some time, information appeared that the aviation means of the Russian Aerospace Forces could be shot down by the enemy from the territory of the Chernihiv region.

The fate of the crew members of the second Mi-8 helicopter and the Su-35 fighter (according to other sources, this is the Su-25 attack aircraft) is unknown.

In Russian quasi-military audiences, it is suggested that the Mi-8MTPR-1 electronic warfare helicopters with Rychag-AV active jamming stations installed on board were engaged in the strike of Su-34 bombers with UMPC bombs against another target in the Chernihiv region, and the Su-35 fighter performed cover during the NWO. In addition, the Rychag-AV station was specially created to jam the radar guidance of air defense systems and enemy aircraft at a distance of more than 100 km.

We express our condolences to the families and friends of the deceased children. We are awaiting clarification from the Russian Defense Ministry.
