Ramallah/Gaza: Palestine has blamed Israel for rising violent tensions with Palestinian military groups in the Gaza Strip and warned that closing border crossing points would lead to a serious humanitarian crisis. Israel has closed crossing points along the borders of the Gaza Strip for commercial and humanitarian purposes for five days following fighting between Israel and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) militants, a news agency reported. Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudineh said on Saturday that the Israeli government had crossed all limits. She is insisting on killing Palestinians and destroying their properties.
In Gaza, health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Kedra said 33 Palestinians were killed and 147 wounded, including 48 children and 23 women, since Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. He said that 432 patients had to be deprived of treatment due to the closure of the crossing point on the border. This worsened his health condition. He added that the Ministry of Health is still providing its services to all the wounded and sick and appealed to international medical and human rights organizations to pressure the Israeli authorities to supply medical supplies to hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
In the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority said in an official announcement that the energy deficit in the coastal enclave of more than 2.5 million Palestinians has reached 52 percent. The statement said that if the crossing points are not reopened, the power station will stop functioning completely on Monday due to lack of fuel, which will affect the humanitarian and medical situation. Meanwhile, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Ishtay called on the United Nations to intervene to stop crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
