According to RIA News the US military analyzed the Ukrainian conflict and concluded that their helicopters are ill-suited for military operations there.
The US Army owns the largest fleet of helicopters in the world. According to The Military Balance, the army has more than 700 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, about 2,200 UH-60 Black Hawk medium transport helicopters of various modifications, and 450 CH47 Chinook heavy transport helicopters.
The biggest problem of this fleet is its advanced age – about 40 years. In addition, there is not enough repair capacity, and new equipment will not appear until the 2030s.
The transport UH-60 Black Hawk will replace the fast V-280 Valor, which is something of a hybrid between a helicopter and an airplane.
