Former US President Donald Trump gave his own comment on the published report that in reality there is no data on proof of his ties to Russia in the 2016 election. He wrote that Americans at that time were simply deceived.
“After extensive research, Special Counsel John Durham concludes that the FBI should never have launched an investigation into Trump and Russia! In other words, the American public has been duped,” he wrote on Truth Social.
The report said neither US police nor intelligence agencies had any real evidence of such a connection from Trump. The FBI did not have information that anyone close to Trump had real contact with special services of the Russian Federation. It is also stated that intelligence agencies in the United States relied on completely unverified and unconfirmed information when they began their investigation.
