A BSF spokesman said that a drone from Pakistan that had intruded into Indian airspace was shot down by the security forces in Kakkar village of Amritsar. He said that two large packets weighing a total of 15.5 kg were recovered from the drone and There is a possibility of heroin in these packets. At the same time, after the drone was shot down, other material dropped from the drone is being searched in the area.
Punjab shares a border of over 500 km with Pakistan, which is guarded by the BSF. For the last three-four years, the sending of drugs, arms and ammunition through drones and unmanned vehicles (UAVs) from the neighboring country has become a matter of concern for the security agencies.
