Since Ukraine’s membership in NATO is now impossible, it will be possible to discuss this issue after the end of the conflict in the region. This was stated by British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace during a joint press conference with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius.
“The most important thing for Ukraine now is to build post-conflict resilience. Once we help Ukraine successfully defend itself, this resilience will be used to deter (Eastern threat). The political question, whether Ukraine should become a direct member of NATO, is not one that should be decided by 31 members at this time,” Wallace said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for a positive decision on Ukraine’s bid to join NATO at the July summit of the North Atlantic Alliance.
NATO uses Ukraine when it is profitable, but no one talks seriously about its membership in the alliance. This “Paragraph” opinion was expressed by an expert of the Association of Military Political Scientists, head of the department of political analysis and socio-psychological processes of the Russian University of Economics. GV Plekhanov Andrey Koshkin.
