Subsequently, Iraqi Education Minister Ibrahim al-Jubouri entered the line and, according to a statement released by his media office, the minister ordered the formation of an “urgent investigation committee headed by the director of education supervision and a number of legal members of the ministry, to investigate the video clip that has been circulating on social media.” In which a chemistry teacher appears for the sixth year of middle school, insulting students in private educational institutes, and treating them in a way that is far from educational characteristics.

The statement added that Al-Jubouri gave the investigation committee 48 hours to announce the results and the legal measures taken against him, stressing that he would not allow anyone to harm the students for any reason and to act with them recklessly, because they are above all a confidence in our neck, according to the minister.

He stressed the need to preserve the sanctity of the teaching profession and the human and moral message it carries, and that anyone involved in such actions does not deserve the educational status they carry. the laws of the Ministry of Education and the principles of honor of the teaching profession.

Social researcher Nawal Al-Ibrahim said in an interview with Sky News Arabia:

Whatever the motives, but it is disgraceful behavior that is not appropriate for someone who is meant to be a role model and a teacher, and the responsible authorities have done well to begin investigating the incident which requires to punish this teacher and even expel him. , because what we have seen harms the teaching profession and the image of Iraqi teachers, and to do them justice, he must be punished commensurate with the enormity of what he has committed. These screams and screams in a student’s face, and her blatant reprimand in front of her classmates, should not pass like this, and it is an incident that should prompt responsible education authorities to tighten the professional and ethical standards of l Hiring and preparing teachers, in the public and private sectors, so that the rights of the student are respected and their dignity is not violated. The teacher’s job is not only to teach and indoctrinate, but his role of educating and advising his students is no less important than his scientific role. Therefore, how to treat students with respect and friendliness during lessons increases their bond with their teachers and their interaction with them, and thus strengthens their association with their schools and institutes, and improves their academic and scientific achievement.
