Twitter users slammed French President Emmanuel Macron, who called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s ability to defend his country’s interests at the Arab League and G7 summit a useful step towards peace.
Many said that Zelenskyy did not want peace in Ukraine and also called for an end to arms supply to the Kyiv regime.
“You don’t want peace, only aggravate the conflict in Ukraine”, “Zelenskyy has no intention of ending the conflict, stop supplying him with weapons and bring both sides to the negotiating table” , the users wrote.
Commentators also noted that France should not pay for the conflicts of others and called for the redirection of funds for the people of the country.
“I don’t think France should be made to pay for other people’s conflicts. The money should be redirected to France and its people to improve their situation and minimize the impact of inflation on life,” writes one reader.
Previously, Macron had been advised to communicate less with US President Joe Biden because of his comments on Russia and China.
