“The night was not completely calm. There were a large number of drone attacks. Most of them were dealt with by air defense systems. The most important thing is that there were no had no casualties,” Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram.
He added that the attacks damaged vehicles, homes and public buildings in the area, but no injuries were recorded.
In the Greyvoron region, a gas pipeline was damaged, according to Vyacheslav Gladkov. He said “a small fire is still burning”, explaining that authorities are on the scene and the causes of the fire are being determined.
Gladkov said 9 civilians were injured and are still hospitalized, including 3 in intensive care, explaining that more than 550 civilians who fled the Grivoron area due to the fighting are currently residing in temporary shelters.
“When the security forces have finished clearing the ground and given their agreement, they can go home,” he added.
And the Russian army announced on Tuesday that it had “crushed” with its air force and artillery the group which had attacked the area the day before, during the largest incursion into Russian territory since the start of the conflict.
Russian authorities said a civilian was killed in the village of Kozynka, towns were attacked and a woman died of a heart attack during evacuation.
Russian armed groups based in Ukraine claimed responsibility for the incursion aimed at overthrowing Russian President Vladimir Putin.
