Irina Viner, chairwoman of the Council for Healthy Lifestyle and Sports of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development, president of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, supported the initiative to organize the Games from the strongest with the participation of the SCO, BRICS and CIS countries. She told TASS on Wednesday.

A similar initiative was launched by the All-Russian Federation of Dance Sports and Acrobatic Rock and Roll. The first stage competitions are scheduled to take place in the fall of 2023 and in 2024 in several sports – boxing, wrestling, gymnastics, acrobatic rock and roll and dance sports.

“Now it is very important to seek new formats of sports competitions and more actively involve athletes from SCO, BRICS and CIS countries in them,” Viner said.

The head of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation noted that a number of sporting events are scheduled for 2023 within the framework of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development. Among them are the Russian-Chinese festival “Confucius Cup”, a sports and concert forum, training camps, a council meeting for a healthy lifestyle and sports.

The organization of the Games of the strongest will be discussed next week by representatives of sports federations, relevant ministries and sports universities at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
