Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

“It was done by a person close to me for a lot of money”

Kherson region acting governor Volodymyr Saldo said a man close to him poisoned him in August last year for a large sum of money. He announced it on Channel One.

According to Saldo, the assassination attempt was the result of a “hunt” by Ukrainian special services. The head of the Kherson region said he was injected with a chemical warfare agent, which worked quickly, and he remembered nothing but feeling unwell.

“I woke up after 15 days,” Saldo said.

In August last year, Vladimir Saldo was evacuated to Moscow for emergency medical treatment. The rehabilitation of the head of the Kherson region took place at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute.
