Sudanese Army: We confiscated smuggled weapons from a foreign country

They added that the Military Intelligence Division had noticed the activity of a group engaged in arms smuggling in the Red Sea State and working to bring arms and ammunition to the eastern regions and deliver them to the Rapid support forces.

The Sudanese army had announced the recall of reserve officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers from the armed forces, in addition to retirees, saying it was in order to “restore security and stability”.

And a statement from the Sudanese Ministry of Defense said: “In support of the great military effort deployed by the armed forces to restore security and stability, it has been decided to completely recall all officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers to the retirement of the armed forces (retired) to support military efforts.

He explained that the summons will take place as follows:

Officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers under the age of 65. Based on medical and physical fitness and the ability to carry and use weapons. Notification will be made to the nearest military unit, starting Monday, May 29. The Command of the Armed Forces completes the necessary works and the coordination necessary for the functioning of these forces.
