And the authorities of Gamasa prison in Dakahlia governorate carried out the death sentence of the author, Muhammad Adel, of the murder of the student, Naira Ashraf, in front of the gate of the faculty of letters of the University of Mansoura, in the governorate of Dakahlia, after rejecting the appeal filed by the accused.

And the Attorney General in Egypt, Hamada Al-Sawy, had previously ordered the transfer of the accused, Muhammad Adel, to the criminal court, to be tried in what was attributed to him of the deliberate and premeditated murder of the student victim (Naira), where he harbored intent and determined to kill her, and tracked her down until he achieved victory. He took her in front of Mansoura University and surprised her with a knife, stabbing her several times and slitting her throat, intending to take her life. The referral decision came 48 hours after the accident.

For his part, Khaled Abdel Rahman, the Mansoura student’s lawyer, said in exclusive statements to “Sky News Arabia”, that the verdict was carried out at dawn today, and he was informed of this at eight o’clock in the morning, after the body of the accused, Muhammad Adel, was transferred to Mansoura hospital.

He explained that he informed Naira’s family about the execution and their joy was immense, adding, “They were very happy and said our daughter’s right came back today.”

However, Abd al-Rahman referred to his request that the death sentence be carried out publicly in order to prevent this crime from happening again.

He said: “It was assumed that the proceedings for the application of the decision would be publicly broadcast in order to deter those who pleaded with each other from committing this crime, especially since the case occupied public opinion in Egypt for several month”.

And the Egyptian public prosecutor’s office had established evidence before the defendant from the testimony of 25 witnesses, including students, university security personnel and shop workers near the incident, who testified. confirmed seeing the accused at the time it was committed, led by female colleagues of the victim who were with her when the accused surprised her, and others threatened them when they tried to defend her during his assault on her, as well as the family and friends of the victim, who confirmed that the accused was regularly submissive and threatened with prejudice due to his refusal to marry her after he proposed to her, and his attempt more than once to force her to do so, which forced them to write several reports against the author.


A few days before the incident, the accused sought to communicate with the victim to find out when she was independent on the bus she was using to go to the university, and she refused his answer, thus confirming the The accused’s determination to kill the victim, and the owner of the business owner of the bus confirmed his knowledge of his employees following the accused victim on the bus that she used her independence in college.
