India-US will develop technologies that will bring change globally: Joe Biden

Washington: President Joe Biden has said that India and the US will work together to design and develop new technologies that will transform lives around the world. He underlined that he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are determined to hold talks on “blockades” hindering bilateral technical cooperation. Biden held wide-ranging talks with Modi at the White House on Thursday. He said that technical cooperation will be an important part of defining the Indo-US partnership.

He said on Friday, that ‘we are working together to design and develop new technologies that will change the lives of people around the world.’ He said, ‘Together we will bring together private and Advancing public partnerships, including launching a new program between India and US astronauts, Indian astronauts and entrepreneurs, scientists and students.’ He said at an event, that ‘simply put both The countries are taking innovation and cooperation to a new level in their relations. Prime Minister Modi also attended the event.

Biden said these “barriers” were hindering the technology partnership. He said it is about climate change and combating it, exploring the universe, lifting people out of poverty, curing cancer and other serious diseases, preventing pandemics and giving real opportunities to citizens. He said, “It is about building a freer, safer and more prosperous future for our children, supporting the dynamism and diversity of our democracies and democracies everywhere.” In his remarks, Prime Minister Modi said that Indian talent And the coming together of American technology is surely a guarantee of a bright future.

Modi said that he is very happy to see the progress America has made in the field of technology under the leadership of Biden. In a meeting with senior executives and CEOs of technology companies at a White House event, Modi said, ‘India’s youth have made a mark in the world because of their talent. So, coming together of talent and technology, I believe it is definitely a guarantee of a bright future.” The event was attended by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani, among others. Mahindra chief Anand Mahindra and astronaut Sunita Williams attended. It was chaired by US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. In the meeting, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit K. Doval and India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu were also present.
