Their discussions focused on the participation of Bahraini representatives in both the Eastern Economic Forum 2024 and the BRICS summit in Kazan. Kobyakov emphasized Bahrain’s interest in strengthening relations with Russia.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova reiterated that BRICS remains open to new members and is committed to deepening ties with the global community. She also confirmed that Moscow shares this stance regarding Azerbaijan’s recent application to join the organization.
