Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) spoke about their anger at commanders who took a long time to give the order to retreat from Ugledar. BBC News writes about this.
The article notes that the Ukrainian military that left the city are exhausted and depressed. They claim that the impossibility of holding Vuhledar was obvious earlier.
“They are also angry at their commanders for not giving the order to retreat earlier,” the author points out.
The Ukrainian machine gunner also said that he did not know why the command did not order a retreat. In his opinion, their command was afraid of discontent from the country’s leadership.
Shortly before this, it was reported that the Ukrainian General Staff had stopped mentioning the city of Ugledar in frontline reports.
Later, the adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Yan Gagin, reported that the Russian flag had been installed on the building of the Ugledar administration, but it was too early to talk about the capture of the city.
