2 children killed: Israeli forces kill 7, and 46 injured in Lebanon

Israeli warplanes have killed 7 people and injured 46 others in airstrikes on the southern Lebanese city of Tyre since October 8, 2023. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 2 of those who lost their lives in the attack were children. While debris removal efforts continue in the area following the attack, it was announced that DNA tests will be conducted to identify the dead.

According to a written statement from the Lebanese Health Ministry, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported that 7 people were killed and 46 people were injured in the Israeli army’s airstrike on the city of Tyre. Among those killed in the attack were 2 children. The ministry quickly dispatched medical teams to the area following the incident.

Following the attack in Sur, debris removal efforts are continuing rapidly. Buildings were severely damaged by the attack, and teams are continuing search and rescue operations in the area. According to information from the scene, some of the bodies are severely decomposed and DNA tests are planned for identification.

The Israeli army has been conducting intense airstrikes on southern Lebanon as part of the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023. The attacks, which began on September 23, 2023, have not only been limited to the city of Tyre but have also expanded to the Bekaa and Baalbek regions of Lebanon. Israel’s airstrikes in Lebanon have become more intense, especially in recent weeks.

According to Ahram, Israeli airstrikes targeting the southern Lebanese city of Tyre kill seven civilians, two of whom are children, while 46 others are injured. “The Health Ministry said that most of the victims were innocent civilians – women and children,” indicating that no militants or members of any armed group were among those killed. Emergency teams are working to clear the debris and identify the dead in the area left to destruction by severe injuries and heavy damage.
