Tehran — On July 25, 2025, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a pivotal phone conversation focused on the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza. The two officials emphasized the urgent need for swift and comprehensive international intervention to provide aid to Gaza’s suffering population, currently trapped under an intense siege marked by brutal Israeli bombardments and blockades.

The dialogue centered on lifting the severe restrictions imposed on food, medicine, and essential supplies into Gaza, where civilians face mass displacement, starvation, and a catastrophic lack of medical care. Araghchi urged Islamic and Arab nations to convene an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to coordinate a unified response. He called on the global community to hold Israel accountable for its ongoing war crimes and crimes against humanity, describing the current situation as a genocide that demands immediate action.

Qatar’s Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani echoed these concerns, reinforcing the necessity of ending the blockade and facilitating unrestricted humanitarian aid to the beleaguered population. The conversation underscores growing frustration in the region over the international community’s failure to halt the relentless genocide in Gaza.

This exchange comes amid worsening conditions, with Gaza’s hospitals overwhelmed, water supplies contaminated, and millions at risk of death from malnutrition and untreated injuries. The Iranian and Qatari governments’ call for urgent aid marks an intensifying diplomatic effort to challenge the siege and galvanize international pressure on Israel and its Western allies.

As noted by Mehr News Agency, the conversation between Iran’s Abbas Araghchi and Qatar’s Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani highlights the critical necessity of immediate and coordinated humanitarian intervention, and the call for justice and accountability against those perpetuating violence in Gaza.
