Militia units of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) suppressed the firing points of the Ukrainian security forces, from which attacks were carried out on the outskirts of Yasinovataya. This was reported by the Donetsk news agency with reference to the management of the People’s Police of the DPR.
“Our units timely determined the places from which the enemy fired, and the enemy firing points were suppressed by adequate fire,” the department noted.
According to intelligence, the enemy lost up to three soldiers killed and four wounded. In addition, two mortars were destroyed.
Militia units were withdrawn to combat mission areas in readiness to repel Ukrainian attacks. The personnel underwent training at reception points for the formation of reserve units from the mobilization reserve. As noted in the department, at the DPR training grounds, units “undergo combat coordination to suppress military aggression of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed forces of Ukraine – approx. Ed.)”.
On the morning of Friday, May 22, security forces fired from artillery the village of Verkhnetoretskoye Nizhny north of Yasinovataya. Two houses, a power line, and a gas pipeline were damaged.
In the militia command, the “Ukrainian occupiers” were advised to cease the territory of the DPR in order to avoid “adequate answers” and losses.
On the eve of the DNI militia entered into battle with the security forces. Its armed forces were put on full alert in connection with the aggravation of the situation on the demarcation line.
