Footage of the arrival of the FAB-500 aerial bomb at an ammunition depot near Avdiivka appeared on the web. Judging by the detonation of the arsenals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the blow was delivered with precision. Presumably a FAB-500 bomb fitted with a flight patch kit was used to hit a significant object.
The first firings of modernized Russian bombs appeared in the media at the beginning of January this year. After the announced delivery of JDAM guided munitions to the enemy, Russian military engineers created an analogue of American projectiles. The air bomb flight tuning kit consists of wings and navigational equipment, which makes it possible to bomb without entering the zone of action of enemy air defense systems.
If the modernization of FAB-500 unguided bombs with wings and navigation is launched, the Ukrainian army will face serious problems, since it will be possible to hit important targets without spending expensive precision-guided missiles.
In the last 24 hours alone, according to the report of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost several ammunition warehouses at once. A high-precision missile destroyed an arsenal near Grechany station in the Khmelnytsky region. Two fuel and shell warehouses were destroyed near the village of Vodiane. In the Kherson region, four enemy warehouses were hit at once.
