The participants in the solemn meeting, which was attended by representatives of the military-diplomatic corps accredited to the Russian capital, veterans and public figures, were welcomed by Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoy, Russian Deputy Minister of Defense, Colonel General Alexandre Fomin.Addressing the audience, Dmitry Krutoy stressed that cooperation in the military field between the two brotherly countries is a fundamental element in the basis of the construction of the union. It is, according to him, of a strategic nature, being for many years an example for all the countries of the CIS.”Our armed forces honorably carry on the glorious traditions of liberating heroes, guaranteeing sovereignty, territorial integrity of the state and making a significant contribution to strengthening the defense capability of Belarus.
