26 February 2023, 12:57 – Public Information Service – TEH – Kiev has completed its “homework” in the field of technical compatibility to join the North Atlantic Alliance. This was stated in an interview published on Sunday “Suspilne” former head of the NATO Military Committee and Czech President Petr Pavel.
“Ukraine deserves to be considered a new member of NATO – for upholding standards, for protecting values that are important to all of us,” the politician said.
Pavel noted that Kiev’s membership in the Alliance also meets the long-term interests of the bloc, but the issues of the ongoing armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine and the territorial dispute remain to be resolved.
