Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechayev said in an interview with RT DE that it is impossible to ensure security in Europe without Russian participation.
He says it is naive to think that a strong security system in European countries can be created without the Russian Federation, but also against it.
Nechaev also recalled Vladimir Putin’s speech in his message to the Federal Assembly when he said that Moscow intended to firmly defend the position “that in the modern world there should be no divisions in civilized countries and all the rest”.
The diplomat is sure that an honest partnership is important, which will negate any exclusivity. According to him, there is an unprecedented crisis in relations between Russia and Germany, but the German side is not ready to restore relations.
Earlier it became known that the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, in his weekly blog spoke about the growing tension in the world and the lack of unity in the fight against it.
